Meet Our Executive Team

Kyra graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in neuroscience and a BA in psychology in 2023. She is currently working as a postgraduate research associate at CTRA in the Department of Nephrology/Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine.

She is applying to MD programs this cycle and hopes to be an emergency medicine physician, general surgeon, or pain and addiction medicine specialist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cat Maeve, drinking coffee, reading, knitting, and bouldering.

Elli is a 3rd year student at the University of Washington studying Sociology and Chemistry (in the pre-MD track). Her long-term goal is to research disparities in the health care system and pursue a career in pediatrics or primary care. 

Elli will be working on the Resource Acquisition team at HEARO. During the 2022-2023 school year she volunteered with HEARO as a mentor for the Holistic Mentorship Program. 

In her free time, Elli enjoys baking, hiking, and exploring new restaurants in the Seattle area. 

Hello! My name is Fatima Mrizigue and I am a first-year neuroscience major with a minor in Arabic and global health. I am originally from Casablanca, Morocco but moved to Florida early on in my life and am now pursuing my undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, Seattle. What drew me most to HEARO is being able to find an outlet in which I can connect with others who can guide me through the academic process and who were able to broaden my perspective, provide me knowledge, and help me gain experience both in my specific field and in my everyday life. My future aspirations include going to medical school and working in a field involving neurobiology. I am very excited to be the director of outreach this year!

Hey howdy hey! A little bit about me, I am from the greater Seattle area and recently received a Bachelors of Arts in Cinema and Media Studies with a minor in Diversity from the University of Washington. During my time at UW I worked a lot with helping create and lead programs that help with student transitions into college and universities through my roles as an Orientation Leader, Student Coordinator, First-year Interest Group Leader, and Activities Chair of a Registered Student Organization called FASA!
